Antique Victorian Bureau
This antique Victorian bureau was a client’s own commission, destined for the entrance hallway of her home which had a very striking set of original floor tiles.
Drawing the colour inspiration from those the entire piece was stripped back to preserve as much original wood as possible, before a custom taped design was applied in burgundy and cobalt blue with bright gold accents. The sides were framed to highlight the beautiful grain, all hardware gilded and as a finishing touch the drawers were lined in navy marbled paper to reflect the rich veneer pattern.
