Edwardian Mahogany Sideboard
This Edwardian mahogany sideboard was a client’s own commission, an heirloom piece which they decided needed a new look to go with their new home. After stripping back that heavy brown lacquer, the striking veneer pattern inspired the design, which was sketched out then perfected and applied using just tape and gilding wax. The rich navy exterior is complimented by warm gold accents, and contrasted inside with a combination of bright orange paintwork and emerald green Deco-fan paper, used to line both the shelves and drawers.
