This Victorian chamber pot stand was a clientβs own commission, and came into the studio in pieces. After some strategic reassembly, the transformation began in earnest to turn this derelict brown lump into a scroll-stopping centrepiece. The circular lid was sanded back and a mind-bending custom taped geometric design was applied. Using an unusual combination of emerald green and rich maroon, the lid design was echoed on the door, before new Art Deco-inspired hardware was added and the whole interior refinished in bright, shining gold.
